    VETted

    in Unit 3

I agree with Bethany that we should be pushing VET more. As I work between both systems I can see how beneficial VET training can be as an option for students straight out of school as well as mature age students. While VET has well established promotional programs and is generally understood to be the educational provider for apprenticeships, until teachers work between both systems it is unlikely that VET will be promoted to the extent that university is. Unfortunately teachers who work in the VET system find that neither their teaching experience or professional learning is recognised by the Department of Education in their state or territory.
