This unit demonstrated the importance (for aspiring parents) of private schooling so your child builds networks with other children who aspire for a university education as well as monitoring the hot knowledge your child may be hearing in their out-of-school activities. This is a cynical response but it probably guides some people and explains their motivation. Non-familial connections may be positive to spark, solidify and inform aspirations whether they are positive or negative.

This comment brings to mind a parent brought in to a prestigious private school to discuss poor academic performance of their daughter. Parent‘s espouse was: oh well, she’s not that bright so I’m not that worried; I’m paying for her social network and am hoping she will find a good husband through that...you know...one of the other girls‘ brothers or cousins...”
